As the weather starts to get just a little bit chillier, our thoughts move to all of our favorite parts of autumn: hot cider, apple picking, warm blankets, sweaters, and fall styles. One of the most exciting parts of the weather turning colder is the chance to switch up our wardrobes again. Hats, jackets, tights, and my personal favorite: boots.
As much as I love to buy a few new pieces each season, it’s very satisfying to find new ways to transition my summer staples into fall. Today, I want to share a few of our favorite ways to style our Emma and Chloe dresses when the weather turns colder.
1. Emma: Cropped jacket + leather crossbody purse (and of course, coffee)

2. Chloe: Crocheted sweater + leather belt (and coffee, again)

Both of these styles are easy to put together and allow you to take the sweater or jacket off if the day gets a bit warmer. Autumn days in Virginia often consist of cool mornings, warm afternoons, and chilly evenings, making easily removable layers our friends.
3. Emma and Chloe: Belt and/or a scarf

We love these looks for the warmer days when you still want a cooler weather look.
4. Emma: Cardigan or blazer + ankle boots
