Travel: Kindred European Recommendations

We asked for your best recommendations in each location that Colleen and Rebekah are planning to visit during our European adventure. You shared so many, and although we won’t have time to visit them all, we can’t wait to try some of them out. But we also wanted to share the collection of your recommendations here so we can all benefit from each other’s experiences.

Location #1: Switzerland

Top of Mount Rigi

– Take the Golden Pass train (we’re very excited about an overnight train we might take on this trip!)

Location #3: Austria

– Rent a bike! (just watch out for the bike lanes! Don’t get squashed)

– Van Gogh Museum

Location #5: Belgium

– Ghent, Bruges, Antwerp, Brussels

– Sample chocolate at all of the chocolate shops (how can we say no to this?)

– The Gulliver Tree for the best tea shop

– Chez Vincent for burger/fries

– Boat ride through Bruges

– Buy chocolate at grocery stores for cheaper chocolate (it’s still delicious)

– Eat: fried cheese, beef stew, mussels, frites with samourai sauce, waffles with Nutella, vol-au-vent met frietjes, pannenkoek met suiker, frietkraam, wafelkraam, 

– Villers-la-Ville Abbey ruins

– Musical Instruments Museum in Brussels
