A wonderful change came at the beginning of last year—Colleen agreed to join as a partner in the business! We were childhood friends and had recently volunteered together for a non-profit where we discovered we worked well together. She was the missing piece for VDDCo!⁠ ⁠

With the help of her and Hanna (and then Emily and Jennie!), Virginia Dare began to really grow. And the gift box side thrived more than we’d ever imagined! ⁠

We dove into curating items to craft gifts that were personal and beautiful. It felt like a natural extension of the heart of what Virginia Dare was—a place to share beauty and connect with loved ones.

Supporting other entrepreneurs and collecting the creativity of makers from around the world into our product line is a passion of ours! We love the ripple effect it can have on so many businesses.⁠We found that not only did our community want to send personal gifts that were beautiful, but so did photographers, realtors, financial planners, etc, and so our gifting side grew to include gifts designed for clients and teams as well. ⁠
